Do your banners have hems on them?
All of our 13 oz vinyl banners come with welded hems. The only time this isn’t true is when pole pockets are chosen. There is no welded hem on 13 oz banners when pole pockets are chosen. Instead of a welded hem, our 18 oz banners have a flush cut edge. This is true for both pole-pocket and non-pole-pocket banners.
Will there be seams on my large banner?
No, we can print banners up to 10’x165′, therefore even very large banners will be seamless. If your banner is greater than 10’x165′, we may have to sew it together.
Is the finish of your banners matte or glossy?
The finish on our vinyl banner material is semi-gloss. Our ink, on the other hand, has a more matte texture, so any white will be semi-glossy and any ink will be matte. If your banner is full color and does not contain any white, it will be fully matte.
Do you print in black and white or in full color? Is full color more expensive?
Our banners are printed in full color with UV ink on all sides. It’s also fine if you simply need one color. The cost of your banner is unaffected by whether it is printed in full color or one color. Furthermore, the quantity and design of text or graphics have no bearing on the cost of your personalized banner. We provide free design services if you require assistance with your design.
What are your banners’ minimum and maximum dimensions?
We don’t allow banners smaller than 6″x6″ technically, however we urge that you don’t print anything less than 24″x12″ in practice. If you require something smaller, we recommend one of the many various varieties of signage we have available. Our banners can be up to 120”x1980” (10’x165′) in size. You can print almost any size as long as one of your dimensions is less than twelve feet. If you require a banner that is larger, we can make one for you. Just give us a call and we’ll take care of the rest.
Is it possible to modify the number or spacing of grommets?
While we can’t modify the grommet size, we do have a variety of grommet solutions to fit your banner’s demands. These grommet options are available in the Options section, which is located directly below the design tool’s editing area. Unless you specify otherwise, your banner will arrive with grommets “every 2-3 feet.” You can choose “None” if you don’t want grommets, or “Every 18-24”, “Every 12-18”, “4 Corners”, or “Top Corners” if you do. One thing to keep in mind is that grommets cannot be used on banners with optional pole pockets. We do not currently offer any custom grommet options or setups in addition to those listed below and accessible via the design tool’s Grommets dropdown menu.
Is it possible to add grommets to a banner with a pole pocket(s)?
Grommets cannot be used in banners that include pole pockets at this time. It is possible to include only one of the two options, not both. If you try to pick both pole pockets and grommets on the same banner, our design tool will warn you that they are incompatible. This notification will indicate whether you choose pole pockets or grommets, as well as which options will be eliminated as a result of your choice.
Which banner sizes are most commonly used?
2′ x 4′, 3′ x 5′, 3′ x 6′, and 4′ x 8′ are the most common banner sizes. However, we can print almost any size custom banner you require. Please review the FAQ question about size constraints, or the design tool will tell you if you choose a size that is larger than what we can print.
Do you mean “handmade” when you say “custom made”?
No. The term “custom made” refers to the fact that the banner is manufactured individually for you. The designs, colors, and size are all customized to your specifications. We don’t have any common banners on hand. All of our signs are printed on large-format printers and are handcrafted, not machine-made.
Is it possible for me to customize the shape of my banner? Is this, for example, a star banner?
No. At this time, we only have square and rectangular banners available. Cutting a banner into a different form, such as a star, might be damaging to the banner’s aesthetics and functioning.
What distinguishes vinyl banners from fabric banners?
Vinyl is the less expensive of the two options. It’s also the more durable alternative, so it’s preferable for outdoor use, however it can also be used for inside signs. Fabric banners are more colorful than vinyl banners because they are printed using a dye sublimation technique. Vinyl banners have a more matte feel. Our cloth banners are a terrific alternative for indoor signage because they’re scratch-resistant and feature straight edges. Simply said, if you’re searching for an outside sign, vinyl is the way to go. Choose a cloth banner if you need an inside sign for a tradeshow, presentation, or other event.
What’s the catch with your banner pricing? Is it possible that it’s too wonderful to be true?
Vinyl banners are typically one of the most cost-effective solutions for advertising. Because of the vast amount of work we do every day, we are able to offer the pricing we do while maintaining our quality. It enables us to obtain bulk pricing on raw materials that smaller businesses are unable to obtain. As a result, we can offer you exceptional value without sacrificing our quality standards.
What printing method do you employ for your banners?
Our printing process is a four-color process that uses UV ink that is environmentally friendly, weather durable, fade resistant, and abrasion resistant. All of our banners are printed digitally on top-of-the-line large-format printers.
Are your vinyl banners resistant to fire?
Yes. Our vinyl banners can withstand temperatures ranging from -22 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit and have passed the NFPA 701 Flame Test conducted by the California State Fire Marshal.
Do you have any experience with huge format and enormous banners?
We do, in fact. We can print banners up to 10′ x 165′, but if you need something bigger, give us a call to discuss the specifications and we’ll give you a unique quotation.
So, are your banners made of vinyl or plastic? What’s the difference between the two?
Vinyl is a man-made synthetic material. It’s a sort of plastic manufactured from ethylene and chlorine that, when mixed together, forms Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), also known as vinyl. Since vinyl is a sort of plastic, you might claim that our signs are made of plastic.
I do a lot of outside advertising; is there a better alternative to vinyl banners?
No. When it comes to outdoor advertising signage, vinyl banners are the best alternative. They’re ideal for outdoor use because of their weather, water, and humidity resistance. If you need something for foot traffic, our A-Frame signs are also a good choice.
Is it possible to build a vertical banner instead of a horizontal one?
Yes. You have the option of making your banner vertical or horizontal.
What if I want a banner that is completely blank? How can I go about doing that?
Go to our Custom Vinyl Banners page, select the blank template option, select your size, and then save and continue to purchase your blank banner.
Installation
Banners are one of the simplest types of signs to set up. Attach the corner grommets to a stationary object, such as poles, via cords, strings, or bungees. You can also fasten your banners to fences or between posts with zip ties or string, or you can use screws and washers to attach them to stiff surfaces like wood or concrete.
Care
Clean your handmade banners with warm water on a regular basis and let them air dry before storage. Roll up your banners and put them in a dry, room-temperature spot for easy storage. In the sun or heat, any wrinkles in your banners should disappear after a few hours.
Do you have any banners with pole pockets for sale? What do I need to know about pole pockets and how can I order them?
Yes, both our 13 oz and 18 oz vinyl banners have 3” tall horizontal pole pockets. Select the option in the design tool to add pole pockets to your banner. Depending on which option you select, dotted lines on the design tool’s artboard will show the placement of pole pockets. While we can add your design or words in this location, we cannot ensure that it will be visible when sewed. We advise against placing any text or design elements inside the pole pocket sections as shown on the design tool.
Both single and double-sided banners can have pole pockets (double sided banners are only available in 18 oz vinyl). Pole pockets can be positioned on the top of the banner simply or on both the top and bottom (bottom only pole pockets are not available). Adding pole pockets to your banner will raise the price somewhat.
The pole pockets are included in the banner size. If you choose top and bottom pole pockets for a 24″ high banner, you will have around 18″ of room for your design. We recommend adding 3-6″ to your size to account for your pole pocket if you require a precise amount of area for your design (s). Please keep in mind that adding pole pockets to a 13 oz banner eliminates the welded hem. There is no welded hem on 18 oz banners, regardless of whether they have pole pockets or not.
Do you offer Velcro banners for sale? What should I know about them and how to place an order?
We can make banners with Velcro, yes. These banners, however, are a custom order, and you will need to contact us to purchase them.
Velcro banners turn an already adaptable sign into one that may be used for a variety of reasons. Velcro banners for parades, sponsorship banners, annual sales, and more have all been created by us. The majority of the banner remains the same year after year in all of these examples, but a specific component is created using velcro so that it can be altered as needed.
Velcro banners will feature a Velcro section that is part of the banner itself. Customers also frequently purchase replaceable smaller banners (e.g., 24″x24″) with Velcro on the reverse side of the smaller pieces. Using the Velcro on the back side of the smaller banners, these tiny sections can then be swapped out on the larger banner.
Do you have banners with wind slits for sale? What should I know about them and how to place an order?
No, we don’t sell slitted banners. Wind slits, which are intended to reduce the impact of high winds on a banner, have proven to be inefficient in protecting banners from high winds. If severe weather is expected, we urge that banners be taken down. If you reside in an area where severe winds are common, we propose mesh banners instead.
Do you sell banners made of mesh, canvas, flags, or fabric?
Fabric banners, mesh banners, and bespoke flags are all available. If you’re looking for a banner type that isn’t featured on our website, please contact us and let us know what you’re looking for. We’ll try our best to assist you.
Do you sell double-sided tape or adhesive-backed vinyl banners?
No, we don’t have any vinyl banners with adhesive backing or double-sided tape available right now. For a double-sided banner, you may either get two duplicate banners or request a special quote.
To attach your vinyl banners, you can use department store adhesive solutions such as sticky tack, putty-like things, or glues. The disadvantages of utilizing these adhesives are that they are sticky, dirty, and difficult to remove once applied.
Are the banner’s pole pockets stitched on?
Because the pole pockets are pre-sewn into the banner, there is no need to assemble it when you receive it.
Does the design area of my banner get affected by pole pockets?
The designable area of your banner will not be affected by the addition of pole pockets. As previously said, text and design should be kept inside the dotted lines that show the location of your pole pockets. This is the safest technique to ensure that your banner displays without any content or graphic components that are hidden. If you need additional design space, we recommend getting a larger banner so you don’t accidentally place design elements inside the marked pole pockets on the design tool.
When I select the pole pocket option, are poles included?
The purchase of a banner does not include the purchase of banner poles. We do not have any poles available at this time. We plan to make these available in the near future. Poles can be made of wood, metal, or plastic as long as they are less than 3 inches in diameter. To guarantee that the pole fits without having to force it through the pocket, we recommend utilizing poles that are smaller than 1.5″.
Is it possible for my bespoke banner to come with a banner stand? Is it possible to make a retractable or pop-up banner?
If you don’t have access to a stand and your vinyl banner’s dimensions are exactly what the banner stand demands, you won’t be able to turn it into a retractable banner after you buy it. For your interior needs, a retractable banner from our website is a superior solution. Our retractable banners come with a carrying case and a stand.
What is the best way to hang my banner?
There are a variety of ways to hang your banner. You can use zip ties, bungee cords, rope, string, or any other robust material with the standard grommets that come with your banner. These can be attached to posts, chain-link fences, or anything else that provides a strong anchor.
We also recommend using all grommets when hanging your banner to avoid putting unnecessary stress on any of the grommets. We do not include any equipment to hang your banner due to the variety of ways banners can be put, but you can find all of these items at your local hardware shop.
You can display your banner with flag poles or rods if you supply pole pockets with your banner. To fit correctly in the pole pocket, we recommend using poles with a diameter of less than 1.5″. (larger poles may not slide easily into the pole pocket). Rope can also be used to hang banners with pole pockets, but we’ve found that using poles produces a more attractive banner.
What is the best way to store my banner?
While our banners are designed to survive the elements and be used outside, it is occasionally necessary or preferable to take them down and store them for a length of time. We recommend rolling your banner with the print side facing out before storing it. They should not be folded. The flags should be stored in a dry, room-temperature environment. Avoid storing the flags in rooms or areas that are particularly hot or humid. To avoid creasing or wrinkling the banner while in storage, don’t store anything on top of it.
How do I get rid of the creases on my banner?
Vinyl banners frequently exhibit creases or wrinkles after being shipped or stored. Place your banner in the blazing sun for a few hours to erase the wrinkles.
What’s the best way to clean my banner?
With a wet rag and warm water, vinyl banners may be readily cleaned. Avoid using any type of harsh cleanser on the banners because it may damage the printing. Cleaning your banner on a regular basis helps keep it looking new for years to come.
Our vinyl banners are finished. Is it possible to recycle them?
Vinyl can be recycled in a variety of ways. For starters, several businesses rework old vinyl banners into tote bags, messenger bags, bean bag chairs, and other items that can be reused or upcycled. Some businesses will repurpose them for your use, while others may accept the banners as a contribution to repurpose and give to someone else. In many cities, you can even put them in your recycling bin instead of your rubbish can.
