Got a question about our process? Find out here

What resolution should my artworks be?

When printing, the optimum print resolution for digital printers is 300 PPI. Blurring and pixelization will occur if a file is designed with a resolution less than 300 PPI. You should not, however, design with a resolution more than 300 PPI. There will be no change in print quality as far as the eye can perceive. It will also significantly increase the size of your file (increasing file upload/transfer time).

We usually suggest printing 300 PPI drawings, however we understand that you may not have the capacity to modify your designs. If you are unable to print your files at 300 PPI, you will need to take certain steps to guarantee that a lesser resolution will work for you.

Before you begin creating your file, we suggest that you set the resolution in your graphics editor (for example, Photoshop) to 300 PPI. Blurring/pixelation will still occur if the resolution is increased after the start.

Where can I pickup my printing jobs?

Pick-up is available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. During business hours, you may always fill out our contact form and we will contact you within one hour. We have two sites in New York City’s downtown area. Check which is more convenient: Manhattan’s SOHO district or Brooklyn’s Bensonhurst neighborhood. Our knowledgeable and courteous guidance, coupled with our creative designers and skilled printing team, provide our customers with a service that will exceed their expectations. See for yourself by visiting one of our New York offices.

Do you check the artworks before printing?

Before printing, our staff double-checks all of the work. If we run into any issues with the files, we’ll let you know and show you how to alter the format. Please keep in mind that color and size mode conversions will be done automatically without any input from you.

We examine the drawings throughout the analysis.

– if the files are in one of the acceptable file types (PDF, JPG, TIFF, EPS or PS).
– if the file provided is greyscale (only if you have purchased a color print)
– if the file is the proper size (otherwise, we will scale your work to the required size, however this may result in a loss in quality). There will be no extra bleeding added to the procedure).
– if drill lines have been defined
– if the correct fonts have been included in the file

Why do my artworks require bleed?

All files should have a 2mm bleed on either side to guarantee that there are no white spots on the printed output. This implies that your design should always be 2mm bigger than the actual print format (including pictures and graphics). Failure to do so may result in minor differences, such as white margins. Place typefaces and important components of your design at least 3mm away from the final format (not counting bleeding) and avoid using edges as edges in layouts to guarantee that they are visible.

Optional: If providing data in an open format for printing, the bleed should be 4mm on each side (e.g., A4 size including bleed should be 301214mm). – Please prepare a file with 3mm bleed on either side if submitting files for presentation folders, banners, monthly calendars, packaging, or any other promotional technology items. – Envelopes should have a 1mm bleed on both sides. The elastic frames made of cloth must be bled 15mm.

Please refer to our artwork instructions if you need more information.

What filetypes do you accept for artwork?

JPG, PDF, EPS, TIFF, AI, PSD and PS (PostScript) are among the file types that may be uploaded

Ensure that your PDF file is saved in normal PDF/X format (PDF/X3 or PDF/X1a) straight from your graphics software. When saving artworks, select the “1.3 compatibility” option to prevent issues with layers and transparencies during the printing process.

If you’re transmitting TIFF files, keep the number of layers to a minimum.

Please do not utilize pre-separated data from DCS EPS to prevent color variations or issues with the printed picture.

Are you an environmentally friendly printer?

We certainly are! We provide the most comprehensive selection of soy ink-based eco-friendly printing goods in New York, including recycled business cards, brochures, presentation folders, sales sheets, stationery, catalogs, flyers, calendars, and more. Our regular stock is now recycled paper.

The printing sector has a bad reputation for environmental stewardship, with excessive use of water and energy, paper waste, and the usage of volatile chemicals that result in hazardous waste in the past. One of New York Print’s main priorities is environmental protection, and we try to put our world first.

Here’s how Gorilla Printing works on its footprint

– Using soy-based inks as standard
– Using recycled paper stocks as standard
– Printing techniques that decrease paper use, such as duplex printing
– Modern equipment that consume less energy
– Elimination of hazardous and volatile compounds
– We recycle our printing plates, press blankets, bottles, cans, and containers.
– We recycle obsolete equipment and computer components.

Discover More about Tabletop Retractable Banners

Table top retractable banners with a strong metal base and blockout 13 oz vinyl. UV ink was used to provide vivid colours and a clear picture. Ideal for usage at your business, workplace, or during a special occasion!

Table Top Retractable Banners: What Are They?

Table top retractables are “small retractable banners” with an aluminium display base that is lightweight but durable. The banner part of these displays retracts into the base after being pulled out. When compared to our normal retractable banners, these smaller graphics are a perfect complement to any trade show booth or other event setting when space is restricted. These bespoke table top retractable banners are designed for optimum mobility and can be put up in seconds, quickly packed and carried, and come with high resolution, bright printing to advertise services or products regardless of the event environment.

Cleaning and maintaining for your table top retractable banner does not necessitate the use of harsh cleaning agents or extensive washing. To clean the banner material, carefully brush away surface debris with a non-abrasive cloth and a mild soap and water mixture. Cleaning the base may be done in the same way, or you can use alcohol wipes (for glasses and screens) to remove any grime. When travelling the base, it’s best to store the tiny retractable banner with the banner retracted within the base to avoid any damage to the graphic. To avoid scratches, we recommend wrapping the base in the box it came in or in some type of cloth or fabric.

What is a retractable tabletop banner? Is it the same as a retractable small table top?

A table top retractable banner, as the name suggests, is meant to be shown on tabletops, particularly during trade shows and conventions. The display’s banner is meant to tuck away in the base until it’s time to utilise it. The banner is simply removed from the metal base, and tension is maintained when fully stretched thanks to a spring mechanism and a small support pole, resulting in a clean table top display.

Is there a difference between ‘table top retractable banners’ and ‘pop up banners’? What about banners for the tabletop?

Retractable banners and pop-up banners are often used interchangeably in the trade show and signage sectors to describe the same product. The retractable banner family, which includes our big format display retractable banners, is sometimes referred to as ‘pop up.’

It’s crucial to understand that the term ‘pop up displays’ can also refer to a distinct type of trade show product called a big format backdrop. To prevent any misunderstanding, we’ll refer to table top retractable banners or table top retractables in all instances.

A conventional vinyl banner that stands atop a table is also referred to as a “table top banner.” These table top banners, unlike the retractable banners mentioned on this page or our other regular retractable banners, do not retract into any base. While most of this is just semantics, the basic functionality of these retractable banners is what sets them different from some of the other items we sell that are quite similar.

Are your retractable table top banners and retractable banners the same thing?

They’re all part of the same retractable banner family, as we indicated earlier. The table top retractable banner is a smaller version of our larger retractable banners. In brief, both types of retractable banners employ the same pull-out banner mechanism; the primary difference between the two is size, with table top retractable banners for table display being the most obvious usage.

In addition, big format retractable banners are available in three distinct versions: basic, premium, and deluxe, whereas table top retractable banners only come in two sizes.

Is it safe to bring tabletop retractable banners on planes?

Absolutely! Table top retractable banners are small enough to fit in carry-on luggage or checked luggage. Before packing these tiny flags for travel, we recommend placing them in a hard container or box (with the banner clearly retracted into the base). This will help protect the tabletop retractable banner from harm.

What kind of material is the tabletop retractable’s banner made of?

DSS 13 oz. pro blockout vinyl was used for this project. This material has a smooth surface and uses UV and eco-friendly ink to produce bright colours. The ‘blockout’ component refers to the material’s capacity to have total opacity; the substance is meant to prevent light from passing through it. This is especially useful in a trade fair or convention setting or booth when there are spotlights and other backlighting.

Is it possible for your table-top retractable banners to be double-sided?

Only one side of our table top retractable banners may be printed. Single-sided table top retractables, in our experience, are more than adequate for use as marketing and promotional material at trade fairs, conferences, and other events.

What sizes do your tabletop retractables come in? Is it possible to create a custom-sized display?

We presently have two sizes available: 8.25” W x 11.5” H (A4) and 11.75” W x 17.5” H (A3). These measures represent the banner’s real viewable area. A4 and A3 are the most popular names for these two sizes. The two banners measure 9.75″ W x 13″ H and 13″ W x 18″ H, respectively, when the base is included. For table top retractable banners, we do not provide bespoke display sizes.

What is the method for attaching my graphic on the tabletop retractable base?

A high-adhesive glue is used to bind the banner image to a rolling spring mechanism in the base. This keeps the banner in place and prevents it from losing tension during the table top retractable base’s lifetime.

Is it possible to switch banners on the same base?

The banner cannot be removed and replaced since it is bonded to the base’s rolling mechanism. Attempting to remove the banner from the base may result in irreversible harm to the banner and base’s functioning.

What material is the foundation composed of?

The foundation is constructed of aluminium, which is both light and strong.

Is there a protective laminate on top of the graphic?

There is no lamination on the banner’s top. The print quality of the ink is sufficient to maintain the printed design’s integrity. Laminates are frequently glossy and reflect light, making designs difficult to see in well-lit showrooms, trade fairs, and other indoor events.

What is the size of the printed area? Is it possible to alter this?

The dimensions of the smaller banner are 8.25” W x 10.5” H. The dimensions of the bigger banner are 11.75″ W x 16.5″ H. Despite the fact that these are the printed area measures, we recommend keeping the major parts of your design away from the banner’s edges to avoid being cut off during the printing process. On avoid your design from being cut off, add.25” bleed to either side of your file.

Finally, a blue dotted line will appear on our design tool, indicating the bottom cutoff point beyond which your design cannot travel. The section of the material that is always within your metal base will be below this line. Below this line, nothing will be seen.

Is it possible for my design to be smaller than the banner area?

Yes, you may make your design smaller than the banner area available. If you wish to keep parts blank, simply leave them white or solid colour while using our design tool to create your banner.

Do you print one-color or full-color table top retractable banners?

All of our goods, including table top retractable banners, are printed in full colour at no extra cost. Whether you need a black-and-white image printed or a multi-color design, we’ve got you covered!

Do you match the colours in the graphics I provide you?

For assistance with setting up the colour matching process, please contact us at support@signs.com or call us at 888-222-4929.

Is there a certain file format I need to utilise when submitting my graphic(s) for my retractable table top banner?

Uploading your file as a.PDF,.JPG,.PNG,.TIF,.AI, or.EPS is recommended. A vector-based file type is perfect for avoiding resolution difficulties when printing your unique table top banner. If you’re concerned about the picture quality of your submitted file, we provide free design assistance to ensure that your table top retractable banner is printed to your satisfaction.

Is it necessary to assemble table top retractable banners?

It takes only a few minutes to set up your table top retractable banner. When you receive the display, the banner will already be linked to the base, so all you have to do is join the two pole pieces, insert the pole into the hole on top of the base, and then pull the banner from the base and attach it to the pole.

The installation part further up this page has more thorough instructions with images.

Is a case included in the price of my purchase? Is it possible to acquire them?

Cases aren’t provided, and they can’t be bought separately. We suggest keeping your table top retractable banner in the box it came in or in a sturdy case of your choice.

What is the total number of poles included with the tabletop retractable banner?

With the display, you’ll get two pole parts. These parts come together to form a single pole that holds the banner in place when it is exhibited.

Is it possible to buy simply the bases? What about a couple of more poles?

At this time, we do not sell additional bases or poles. Give us a call at 888-222-4924 if you need a replacement pole set, and we’ll be happy to assist you!

Will my banner and its attachments be delivered together?

Yes! The pole set and the base (with the banner already attached) will be sent together.

Usage
Is it okay for me to take my tabletop retractable banner outside? Are there any limits or exceptions?

While these displays are intended for indoor usage, they may also be used outside in the right weather. Tabletop retractables, on the other hand, are not meant to withstand wind or rain.

Will my retractable table top banner fade, scrape, or wrinkle?

Your table top retractable banner will not fade or wrinkle if properly cared for. The banner material is scratch and fade resistant; to minimise unintentional damage to the material, avoid handling sharp items near the display. We also strongly advise drawing out and retracting the banner into the base slowly and steadily to avoid any damage to the banner.

Will my retractable tabletop banner’s base be readily damaged?

The foundation is made to withstand the typical wear and tear that comes with travel and exhibition at trade shows and events. To avoid any undesired damage, you should store the display in a protective box or container.

What are some of the most common applications for tabletop retractable banners?

At trade exhibitions, conferences, business events, symposiums, campaign meetings, parties, weddings, and more, table top retractable banners are the go-to, portable display! Despite the fact that they are referred regarded as “table top” displays, they may be shown on any flat surface. Use to promote new products or services, event details, photo displays, logos and branding, menus, and educational materials. There’s no limit to what you can do with this versatile display!

Is there a place on the base where the pole parts may be stored?

The pole parts are not stored in any slot or container on the base.

How do I put my tabletop retractable banner together?

The tabletop retractable banner is simple to put together! Insert the bottom pole into the hole on the top of the base (there is no snapping, locking, or twisting mechanism). Grasp the top piece of the flag and pull it away from the base with care. As you tug on the banner, it will provide some resistance. Pull the top metal edge of the banner’s lip over the top of the pole, enabling the banner’s tension to fasten it to the pole.

How careful should I be while removing my banner and replacing it in the base?

Though the banner’s retraction mechanism is designed to survive for years, it’s vital to use caution when removing the banner from the base. Pulling the banner out as though you’re about to start a gas lawn mower would very certainly destroy the mechanism. Allowing the banner to fall back into the base after usage will also compromise the banner’s and spring’s integrity. The easiest method to avoid any harm to your banner is to slowly take it out and guide it back into the base after usage.

Will my table top retractable banner come with instructions for assembly?

On this product’s page, you’ll find assembly instructions. There is also a downloaded version.

What is the best way to keep my tabletop retractable banner?

With the banner retracted into the base and the pole set fastened in a bag or with rubber bands, store your display. To avoid damage, store the base and pole set in the box that came with it or in a container of your own choosing. When storing the table top retractable banner, do not lay heavy things on top of it.

Is there any continuing care or maintenance required for my retractable tabletop banner? Is it necessary to lubricate the spring mechanism after prolonged use?

When the display is utilised correctly, there is no need for substantial maintenance. If dust or dirt builds on the banner material, wipe it clean with a mild soap and water mixture with a towel. The same is true when it comes to cleaning the base.

There is no need to lubricate the spring mechanism because it is designed to endure for years. Remove any debris or dust that has accumulated within the banner compartment with a pressured air can (similar to those used to clean keyboards).
